PMKVY is the short abbreviation for Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana started by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship under the extreme supervision of honourable PM of India. The sole objective of PMKVY is to enable the unemployed, poor, and needy youth of India to take up the industry relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better job and uplift their livelihood. However, youths with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under the PMKVY’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification process.

If this vision comes to reality, then earning a better livelihood will not become a tiresome work for a majority of Indian youth workforce. Approval of India’s so far the largest skill certification scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), by the Union Cabinet is the best contribution towards elimination of unemployment from ground level till date.
